Laboratory Safety Training for New Staff
This comprehensive online course provides essential safety training for all new laboratory personnel. Through 10 interactive video modules, participants will learn critical safety protocols and best practices needed to work safely in a laboratory environment.
The course covers fundamental topics including:
- Laboratory orientation and general safety principles
- Bloodborne pathogen awareness and prevention
- Contamination control procedures
- Proper use of safety equipment (showers, eyewash stations, fume hoods)
- Electrical and fire safety
- Safe handling of flammable and explosive materials
- Ergonomic practices to prevent workplace injuries
Each module is designed to be engaging and practical, featuring real laboratory scenarios and demonstrations. Upon completion, new staff will have the knowledge and confidence to maintain a safe working environment, protect themselves and their colleagues, and comply with laboratory safety regulations.
